COMMAND: finger ARGUMENTS: [[-q or -h#] username] Without any arguments, "finger" displays general info about all users that are logged in: character name, "real life" name (as set by the "chfn" command), position (player/dev/admin), idle time (if any), and source site. With a name, finger gives specific info about that user: character name (along with pretitle/title, if they exist), "real life" name, position (player/regulator/developer/administrator) and level/credits, character on-line age, email address (as set by the "chfn" command), gender, alternate character (for administrators/developers/regulators), Internet address of last login site, last login/logout date, number of pieces of mail unread, and description. Additionally, for developers/administrators, plan and project are displayed. For players/regulators, general performance information for the last 15 and last 100 wars is displayed; D=deaths, W=wins, C/D=credits/death ratio, K=total kills, ADI=average damage inflicted, and ADT=average damage taken. If the "-q" option is given before the name, only the user's information will be displayed, description (and for developers, plan and project files) will be skipped. If the "-h" option is given with a name, the player's last 15 war history is displayed. The date of each war, war type (T), result (W/D) of each war (died or survived/won), credits awarded (C), kills (K) (and kill value [KV]), damage inflicted (DI)/taken (DT), and race/class are included. Total and average stats (for applicable columns) are displayed at the bottom. If the "-h2" option is given with a name, additional last 15 war information is displayed. The percentage of total war length that the player was invisible, in combat, and survived is displayed. The percentage of the wars' total K/KV and DI/DT for which the player accounted for are shown. Additionally, the total worth of the player at his time of death (if he died) is displayed. Average stats (for applicable columns) are displayed at the bottom (the average for death worth skips wars where the player didn't die--they are not counted in as zeroes). If the "-h3" switch is given with a name, further additional last 15 war information is displayed. This information includes the name of the player (or NPC) that killed the player, and the player's top areas (excluding domains) for that war and the percentage of total wartime that was spent in each of them. If the "-h4" switch is given with a name, "average share" stats for each war are displayed. An average share of 1.00 would mean that a player got the share of stats that would be expected of him. For example, if there are 30 players in a war, then a player would be expected to inflict 1/30th of the damage, take 1/30th of the damage, kill 1/30th of the players, etc. Any player who inflicted 1/30th of the damage in that war would have a 1.00 SDI (share of DI) for that war. Likewise, any player who killed 1 player in that war would have a 1.00 SK. If those 30 players were worth a total of 90 kills, then anyone who killed 1 (3)--since 3 is 1/30th of the total kill value available--would have a 1.00 (1.00) SK/SKV. Average rooms moved through per minute for each war (RPM) are also displayed, along with average characters typed per minute for each war (CPM). The next column "Len", indicates the (maximum) length of that war, followed by "Players", indicating the number of players that were in that war. At the far right, "friendly fire" (FF)--damage taken from teammates and inflicted to teammates--is shown. Totals and averages are shown at the bottom for applicable columns. If the "-h5" option is given with a name, the player's last 100 war history is displayed. The date of each war, result (W/D) of each war (died or survived/won), credits awarded (C), kills (K) (and kill value [KV]), and damage inflicted (DI)/taken (DT) are included. Total and average stats (for applicable columns) are displayed at the bottom.
