Although regarded with a certain measure of awe by other dwarves, and viewed as the essence of dwarfness by themselves, everyone else would likely describe battleragers as insane lunatics whose recklessness borders on being downright suicidal. Equipped with their characteristic spiked armor, battleragers literally throw themselves at their enemies, hoping that their momentum and weight will aid these spikes in inflicting serious wounds upon their targets. While this technique is seemingly crude and improvised, it nevertheless is surprisingly efficient when employed by a skilled battlerager.

ABILITIES

Reckless charge: the battlerager's attack does more damage if he rushes his opponents from a short distance (1 room away).

Small weapons: the special combat technique of the battlerager does not go well together with the use of cumbersome and heavy weapons. Therefore, battleragers prefer smaller weaponry that allows them to get close--real close--to their enemies.

With this ability, the battlerager can craft deadly metal spikes onto pieces of armor, making these armors dangerous weapons in melee combat, if one knows how to use them correctly. Worth noting is that such a treatment decreases the structural integrity of the armor, and also that it can't be used on what battleragers would call "jewelry"--rings, necklaces, and such. Furthermore, although most battleragers somehow miraculously avoid being damaged by their spiked armors, they do pose a significant threat to everyone else in the room.
