Dwarves are a race of subterranean-dwelling humanoids. They are shorter than humans, reaching about four feet tall. They are well known for their love of gems and gold, and they mine for such precious ores endlessly. Living and working underground has made dwarves strong and given them great eyesight and endurance.

Dwarves are known to be skilled craftsmen, and their weaponsmiths are among the best that can be found in the world. Most dwarves know quite a bit about weapons, and can reforge them a bit, to make them better suited for dwarven use. The reforging adds 1-8 damage to the weapon's maximum and average damage (depending on the wisdom of the one doing the improvement), but only if the user knows how the weapon was improved--something only dwarves can figure out.
