Given almost any type of weapon, the sorcerer would surely fall flat. He is inept at all forms of ranged and melee combat involving the use of weapons. Even so, the sorcerer is a feared individual due entirely to arcane prowess. To behold a battle-ready sorcerer is to witness a swirling maelstrom of fire and ice. In fact, the sorcerer is the master of extreme temperatures, casting spells which scald and burn his foes with one hand, while the other simultaneously drives his foes back with bitter cold and ice. The demanding discipline that requires the sorcerer forsake weapons entirely causes the health and strength of a sorcerer to be considerably less than his warrior brethren. Also, due to having to concentrate on two spells at once, the sorcerer does about half the damage with his spells that other magic-users would.
