The mighty flameblade spell is one of legends, crafted and perfected by ancient warlocks. Though not truly a sword, the flameblade acts as one allowing the caster to hack and slash his way through his enemies. The blade's flames are a manifestation of powerful magical energies, and do damage based on the magical powers of the caster--not simply his dexterity and brute strength. Sadly, the flameblade only lasts but a short time, typically 20 seconds (though powerful and wise magicians can prolong this time). While in existence, however, the flameblade will normally do 1-40 points of damage to its wielder's enemies.
