By combining the powers of the planes of water and earth, the caster is able to ensnare his victims in quicksand. While trapped, the victim will find himself unable to move normally, though every attempt at movement will increase his chances for freedom. However, even the luckiest person will be mired in quicksand for two regular movements, and unable to move normally for three. A secondary effect suffered by any mired victim is a -10 dexterity penalty. All effects of the quicksand are cancelled should the victim be transported by magical means. No player can be caught off-guard by this spell more than once every couple of minutes.
