This spell opens up a connection to an alternate plane, allowing entrance to this world for the specified creature (most often an elemental from one of the four elemental planes). These creatures are more fierce than loyal, and enter the material plane mainly for the excitement of battle. They will follow their summoner around, but if an enemy is encountered, they will not hesitate to abandon their summoner and instead hunt that enemy. Upon being seriously damaged, planar allies will seek refuge upon their native planes. Below is a list of common planar allies, but note that depending on your alignment, some of these may be impossible to summon, as doing so would pose too great of a risk (alignment is determined by your race). You can only control a single planar ally at a time.
